Avon Cottage, our newest property, is situated in Downton – a picturesque village on the outskirts of the New Forest. The village benefits from a well-stocked Co-Op and several pubs including the popular Goat Inn. It also has a lovely café, butchers, pharmacy and right next door is a popular fish and chip shop.
Just a short drive down country lanes will lead you to the neighbouring New Forest village of Woodgreen where you will undoubtedly see a donkey or two outside the village pub. The town of Fordingbridge is only 5 miles away and the beautiful city of Salisbury just 8 miles away in the other direction. The coast line and beaches are also within easy reach.
Avon Cottage is a charming 1 bedroom first floor flat with its own entrance and staircase. The lounge has a sofa bed, and dining table and can accommodate 4 guests comfortably. The lounge and kitchen overlook the high street with views of the local church. Bedding and towels are provided. The kitchen is well equipped with a large range cooker, microwave and coffee machine. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine. The lounge has a smart TV, blue tooth speaker and the property has excellent WIFI. A bathroom with a bath and overhead shower completes the space.
There is free non allocated street parking and you will often be able to park right outside the property or opposite. With its central location, in a beautiful village, Avon Cottage provides a great base for visiting the New Forest and beyond.
