Avon Cottage, our newest property, is situated in Downton – a picturesque village on the outskirts of the New Forest. The village benefits from a well-stocked Co-Op and several pubs including the popular Goat Inn. It also has a lovely café, butchers, and pharmacy and right next door is a popular fish and chip shop.
Avon Cottage is a charming 1 bedroom first floor flat with its own entrance and staircase. The lounge has a double sofa bed, dining table and can accommodate 4 guests comfortably. The lounge and kitchen overlook the high street with views of the local church. Bedding, towels and dressing gowns are provided. The kitchen is well equipped with a large range cooker, microwave and coffee machine. There is also a dishwasher and washing machine.
The lounge has a smart TV with Netflix, a blue tooth speaker and the property has excellent WIFI. A bathroom with a bath and overhead shower with complimentary toiletries completes the space.
There is free non allocated street parking and you will often be able to park right outside the property or opposite. Dogs are welcome but we ask that they stay off the beds and furniture. There are several great walks from the property including the Moot and a lovely walk following the river across meadows.
With it’s central location, in a beautiful village, Avon Cottage provides a great base for visiting the New Forest and is close to the historic city of Salisbury and Stonehenge. We are very excited to welcome Avon Cottage to our small fleet of lets and look forward to welcoming you too.
